You tube

Searching for videos worth watching can be quite frustrating – there’s so much rubbish. But when something super reveals itself, it kind of makes it worthwhile. Placing a video in my blog was a quick and painless task, unlike Flickr!

Anyway this is a video that one of my lecturers @ uni played for us and think I its quite appropriate. It’s called The Machine is Us/ing Us.

flickr

I like using flickr. I can see how useful it could be if you were travelling and wanted to share your photos with family and friends. I can also see how libraires could incorporate it as a fun way to advertise. I am having a lot of trouble adding a photo from flickr to this blog, but here is the link to it…http://www.flickr.com/photos/27170447@N03/2535904516/

Technorati

I’m not sure I would use technorati as an information source. Who are all these bloggers and why is their word on any topic worth reading?

Delicious

went to delicious. I have signed up with them already (thanks for the tip Amy) and find it very useful. It really gives you ideas when researching.

Found this vid on youtube and I think it’s a very nice little piece about knowledge sharing on the web. Hope you enjoy

LibraryThing

Just had a squiz through Library Thing and created an account. It was hard to pinpoint 5 of my favourite books to place in my library. I think I’ll add some more when I think of them. I also plan to check other members and see if anyone else has all the same ones. I had trouble with using their blog link to my library. I don’t think it was set out clearly enough – or it could have just been me, who knows! Anyhoo, here’s my link,

Image Generator II

Rubik cube JessiePlaying around with more images @ Blog generator http://generatorblog.blogspot.com/. This is one of my dogs, Jessie in a delightful Rubik’s cube interpretation, enjoy!

Playing around with images was quite a bit of fun. I will definitely  go  back to them. So easy to do. It’s amazing how many collaborative ‘things’ are available. These lessons have been quite an eye opener as to what is out there.
